Rathmore Community Council are going to the dogs fundraising for development of the new Rathmore Community Playground. The Race night will take place on Sat. October 12th at Kingdom Greyhound Stadium Tralee. Community support is never found wanting in Rathmore and is wanted now more than ever to develop a badly needed Community Playground for our young people. We are grateful to IRD Duhallow & Kerry County Council for their support. The support of businesses and community for this enjoyable community fundraising event is being called for. All assistance and help to complete this project will be gratefully accepted. The playground will be completed by December. How can you Help? Tickets are now on sale. €10 each or family tickets €20 with prizes galore. There will be volunteers going to door to door in the parish shortly selling the tickets. An appeal for Dog Nomination which includes a Family Ticket to Night at the Dogs and you could win a spot prize on the night if lucky enough to nominate a winning dog for €50 which are for sale now from:

The successfulapplicants will be placed in a Laundry and Recycling Furniture Project as well as a childcare facility. If you are in receipt of a social weifare payment and over 25 years old, unemployed 12 month or more or on a disability payment 6 month are more you may be interested in applying. You must be registered with the Fas Enterprise officer. Please note the successful applicant will need to obtain Garda Clearance. Calling all Householders - Free Insulation service If you are in receipt of one of the following payments you now beeligible to receive insulation service free of charge. I.R.D. Duhallow fuel allowance, family income supplement or job seekers allowance for more than 6 months and have children under 7 years and houses must be owner occupied and constructed before 2002. Thanks to increased funding our waiting list for houses is not as long as previous years so applications taken this month will have works completed before next winter.
