Friends of Kerry General Hospital:
The Friends of Kerry General Hospital are fundraising for equipment for the Hospital. The Annual Greyhound Meeting has raised over €1 million since 1990. The generosity of the people of Kerry has enabled much needed equipment to be provided for thehospital. This year the money will be used to buy a Dexa Scanner. This is a type of machine used to measure the density and strength of people's bones. Those who are found to have weak bones can receive drugs which will help to prevent fractures and collapse of bones. These breaks are very common and very serious in older people and those with certain medical conditions. The meeting will be held on Saturday, June, 1st 2013, in the Greyhound Track in Tralee. If you would like to donate to the fund you can; Place an advertisement in the Race Programme quarter page €25: half page €50, full page €100; Nominate a dog (€20 per dog, there for €50). Nominators gain entry to the track are listed in the Race Programme and enter a draw for €300. Buy a ticket ( 1st Prize €300, 2nd Prize €100). Make a direct donation. We hope you can help in some way. You can contact us on
