South Kerry U11 Hurling League: Rathmore 2-09 to Kilgarvan 2-07.
This was a great come back by a defiant Rathmore side, at halftime the score was well in favour of the visiting team Rathmore 0-1 to Kilgarvan 1-5. Rathmore took command of the second half with goals from Liam McSherry and Killian Cronin,and a brilliant team effort Rathmore deserved their win.We wish Alan Dineen a speedy recovery from an ankle injury picked up during the game.
East Kerry U14- Championship:
Rathmore played host to Gneeveguilla in the East Kerry U14 div2 semi-final on Monday last.Played on a pristine Rathbeg pitch, spectators were treated to an outstanding game of competitive free-flowing football, the result of which hung in the balance until the final whistle with Rathmore emerging as winners on a scoreline of Rathmore 7-11 to Gneeveguilla 4-14.The resilience of the Rathmore team was truly tested demanding a great team response with stand out performances from Killian O Sullivan and Dan Murphy in defence and from Brian Friel and Paul Cremin in attack.The reward is a place in the Div 2 Final v Fossa and a semi-final place in Div 1 v Firies in Rathbeg.
